How Marine POWs Hung Tough

These servicemen were amazing! This first line really made me want to read more, "The American and Filipino forces that defended the Bataan Peninsula from January to April 1942 fought on desperately short rations." Current Permanent Duty Station: West Fargo, ND honor guard

Currently Deployed? If so, where? (Do not jeopardize Operational Security): Not deployed, but my dad will be soon. I wish I could go with him.

Why I Serve: I serve because since I am totally blind, I could not directly serve in the military, so serving my country as a bugler gives me a chance to give back to those who gave their lives. I am a Coast Guard Aux Recruit. My Granddad is a retired Air Force Majorand my dad was a sergeant in the army, so I am honored that I get to experience some of what they did. I also work as a volunteer at my local Veterans' hospital and hope to permanently work there someday to help veterans in some way. I am also in the program called Patriotic Pets to host cats who's parents are deploied. I am not currently hosting now, so contact me if you need this service. There are days I wish I could do more for this great nation though. I wish I could go to boot camp and fight for freedom. I want to do whatever I can to serve. I was wondering if you and Alex might be interested in coming up with a plan for TroopSpace Buglers? If this is too much and you're too busy, I understand completely. But I love the idea--- and you two know how it all works.

We could set up chapters or branches, get a patch designed, and I am sure some other cool stuff.

What do you think? Maybe us 3 can get together online and have a chat about it-- perhaps through Skype? I am going to send this message to Alex as well.

Alex- we'd love you to be our first- but we want to make sure we don't step on any other groups' toes like the BAA. What do you think?
