As Ed said, it's pretty friendly here. Very social group already started with lots of Coasties. Check it out in the "Groups" section. There's also a Military Families group that might interest you.

Grats on the decision to join the CG after highschool. That's a big committment that many your age aren't willing to make. I wish you the best of luck with all of it.

So your brother is already in and you want to join? That is AWESOME- I think military families play such a huge role in what makes the U.S. great! My grandfather was in the Navy in WWII, and my other grandfather was in the Army right after WWII, so I had my inspiration as well.

You'll find everyone here very friendly, so feel free to reach out to anyone! Also, as you can already see from your page, there are alot of great Coast Guard people here!!
