Hi Josh, I spent 3 years at Fort Huachuca. About 60% of it I was off TDY though. Now I live in Phoenix. Sierra Vista is nice enough but too small and too Mormon. I miss the mountains and running water though. How about you?

You`ve just jogged my memory of living through the same things. But I did it 4 times. Still got 2 at home ( 17 & 24) they get it too good to leave. 2 oldest boys are married (31& 26) & usually drop the grand kids off so it never ends.
I get a variety of photos being in the AAL & Bugleing. Get asked to help out at Airshows, Services & various events. Good part is you get where the action is for photos etc. Got heaps more & more to come in future events, which I`ll add /delete occasionally

Thanks for the comment! I was trying to find the best one that said "Troop Space", not the best looking one of us:)

Before he leaves for his patrol, I told him I had to take a picture of him in his Troop Space shirt:)

    Him & I both!

Give the little one a hug for me!

    Hey!

You and Ed finally did it! Took my advice on the t-shirt...I will be eager to see who wins and what the design is.

The other night Aksel was wearing the Troop Space shirt and a woman and her daughter asked about it.

It was funny because he was the one who answered! And I was just there listening...I made fun of him because I am the one who is always on this site and one of the admins...too funny.

Aksel did a great job answering!

Aksel wears that shirt as much as he can...it makes people ask.

How are things with you and the family?

Sorry that I have been distant, but my friend passed away, then work had be going with one day off and then the first time off, it was spent with Aksel, and now I am on a little vacation.

    Talk to you later!

New GI Bill Incentives to Guard/Reserve Veterans!

Saw this on the news last night. I say it's about time. They've earned it. President Bush just signed into law the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. It allows for all guardsman & reservists who have served at least 90 days on active duty since 9/11, entitlement to better GI Bill tuition assistance. The more time served on active duty, the more tuition the government will pay. For more info on this Act, you can check out the Fact Sheet… Continue

Not Your Typical Job...and I love it!

As the tourist season starts, the days are long, usually hot and humid and occassionally rainy which is never fun to drive in. The windows fog up, people are sticking to the seats if not each other, the few windows that are open, the rain finds it way to come in pounding right ontop of you... People won't get off, others are upset that they can't on but after a ten to twelve hour day, after we go home, we get up the next day, a new day and might possibly do it all over again and again! I have… Continue

    Cherrio's, Nemo and Oyster Crackers?

My son is a little over 20 months old. He's into everything! The other day my husband and I were in the living room watching Dylan run around. It was time for his nap and he just wanted no part of it what so ever. As Tim (my husband) channel surfed he stopped on a channel which was showing a lacrosse game. (My family is very big into lacrosse) Well, Dylan stopped what he was doing and sat in his chair. SAT IN HIS CHAIR FOR MORE THAN 2 MINS!!! LOL He loved watching tha game. I kind of stood back… Continue

    UPDATE!!! :D

Okay, so here's pretty much what's going on for those of you that are interested. :P I've been busy going through the loads of junk I've accumulated throughout my life. Hahaha. I don't know about you guys, but I'm a pack rat! I like to save boxes of memories and whatnot. I know the Coast Guard provides movers to pack up my stuff, but I like to be more prepared. Since I won't be here when they pick up my stuff, I want them to be able to just get in and get out! I've gone through my clothes and… Continue
